A slight bend on the road

There is famous Chinese saying which goes something like this 'Be careful of what you are wishing for  it may come true!'. I still have to learn from this phrase as things do hppen and I have absolutely nothing to  complain.  Few  months back I was complaining that I need change in the way things are happening as it such a boring steady  state.... and things just turned upside down.

Firstly, I shifted to my own place which I bought two years back. But dealing with the builder and their contractors is such a pain in the rear. They will never complete things on time and you  to  have be around on top of their heads to make sure they  work as per your timelines. Since past two months it was my daily  routine to drive all the way to  Indirapuram and make sure that things are happening shout at the supervisor, the carpenter, plumber, electrician who  will  not do things till you  are around
all the time. The concept of delegate and forget and assumptions that people will do work professionally is completely null and void in our scenarios. You are made to feel that they doing you a favors by doing the work for which you paid a fortune!
But finally, it managed to complete just hours before the house warming, I still wonder how it happened! I moved in with my friend the next week and then I realized that the house is a little big for 2 people.. Our voices echo when we talk!!  It will take a  lot to  adjust and get used to  the new place. The other thing the way  you  treat a rented place and your own place is different ... and the paradigm shift is automatic ..I have become a little more careful and cleanliness conscious. The maid has to be sure that cleaning  and dusting is proper! The cook has to keep the kitchen tidy and I myself clean the bathrooms! So weird ... I am doing things which I never bothered to care for.
But yes at the end I do enjoy living  here...especially  the view from my  bedroom ... a wide
balcony  which open  nicely  and the  view  of concrete jungle of Indirapuram  from 9th floor is pretty  amazing..it’s certainly  not New York  but yes... I can say that Indirapuram has its own Skyline! Mornings are misty ...afternoons are warm and I can see the sunset in the evening behind the buildings lying on my bed.
So that was moving in..Which also changed few more things. 3 of us who have been staying together since the day we left college (close to 5 years now) finally decided to go our own ways. A strange thing but yes ...when the companions change..life changes too in its own little way.
My office has also  shifted from sector 60 to  sector 126 on the expressway, and  now I have spend almost 2 hours daily commuting to office.  I dislike the morning traffic, the honking and the near misses everyday. High time that I get a four wheeler...
So things are in transition and somehow I see myself at the same spot where I was last year. In transition. I came from US after a year. Was settling  in a new place. Confused mental state. I am so familiar with this feeling. This time I have decided to remain calm and watching  as things unfold.
